We have strong communication and links with all schools around us and often meet up with some of the older children to enhance the learning of our children and have systems in place such as our ‘buddies system’ where children moving onto school will meet up with year 5 or 6 buddies who will look after them in school and on the playground when they start school. We have found that these attachments created with this system has an invaluable positive impact on a child’s transition to school and has created many lifelong friendships along the way. They will also meet in school and have lunch with them where possible.

We have children who attend our setting that also attend other maintained and independent settings or child minders and we like to keep close communication with them to support the individual child’s learning and experiences in both environments.

We are lucky enough to be invited to plays; nativities and sports days at our surrounding schools and the children love these experiences.
